The Team

Sevenoaks ACE was started by a group of parents in the Sevenoaks area that wanted to ensure that Sevenoaks has sufficient secondary school places that meet the needs of the community.

We all want a world where children in the Sevenoaks area can continue their education at a good local secondary school.

Who are we?
Amanda Manuel (Chair) has two children of primary school age and is a parent governor at Sevenoaks Primary School.  She lives and runs a business in Sevenoaks.  "I believe passionately that the current options for secondary school admissions are far from straight forward for Sevenoaks parents.  We need good local schools for all children.  Local communities can make a difference, if they're prepared to try."

Louise Newton-Clare is a local parent of primary school age child and works as a research project manager at a London university. "I want to see enough state secondary school places in Sevenoaks for all our children to be able to attend a suitable local school."

Gaynor Lawson previously 15 years of Corporate International Sales and Service experience and now a successful business owner and florist at a local Sevenoaks florist (enfleur.co.uk).  Married to Nigel. Mum to two pre-school boys – Oscar (just 4) and Dylan (nearly 2).  "I have a vested interest in ensuring that the secondary school provision for the future of my children means that they can get the best out of school/after school clubs and family life whilst being schooled locally within Sevenoaks and without excessive travel."
